Meet The Goats!
Buttercup
This is Buttercup.
She is a pure Saanen dairy goat. We purchased her from a commercial dairy farm when she was only hours old. Her mother had abandoned her. She will be bottle-fed until she is 6-8 weeks old. Buttercup is very friendly as most bottle-fed goats are. She is a spunky little goat despite her rough start and loves to run, jump and play with our son Bryson.
Photo is from the day we brought her home she was not even a day old.

Oreo and Cookie
Meet Oreo and Cookie! They are our twin Saanen, Alpine crosses. We also purchased them from the dairy farm. The boys were about a week old when we purchased them. They will be Buttercup's and Stripes mates. They are almost weaned from the bottle and are very rambunctious. They love to drive me crazy by jumping INTO the feed freezer. Cookie was all white when he came to us but His colour seems to be changing and he now has lots of black.
Stripes
Meet Stripes! Stripes is also a Saanen, Alpine Cross. She is just over a year old and small for her breed. She was weaning a kid when we purchased her and is still producing a little bit of milk. We are currently milking her and feeding her milk to the baby goats to give them the boost formula can not. Stripes was also a bottle-fed baby and is very friendly!
Meet The Horses!
Annie (Registered name: THEPANSQUICKRNTHEI)
Annie is our 14 year old Standardbred Broodmare! She is very much the boss of Apache. She is a very sweet girl who originally preferred to keep to herself, but will now come to the fence to greet visitors. She has amazing breeding with her sire (dad) being Western Hannover who is currently the all-time money-producing sire of all equine breeds. Annie has had 7 foals in the past most of which are currently racing with a couple of her colts having been exported to the UK. Her colt Great George is currently the most successful of her foals earning close to $80,000. We are excited to follow her promising offspringl!
Apache (Show name: I Came to Dance)
Apache is a very well behaved, young, gentle giant. He is a 5 year old Paint, Percheron cross gelding who is growing like a weed! He currently stands close to 17h and is filling out nicely! He had 30 days training with Daisy Collins of Ladybug Stables in Mattawa, ON. He did so well in training that we came away from our first few shows in walk/trot and dressage walk/trot with five 1st place, one 2nd, and two grand champion ribbons. We are working on our dressage and I am excited to see what he can do!
Twinkle
This is our fabulous little 12.2h Icelandic cross pony gelding Twinkle! Twinkle is somewhere around 26-30 years old! I purchased Twinkle when I was 15 and trained him. I kept him a secret from my entire family and surprised my little sisters (and parents) on Christmas morning. I had the boys from down the street walk him from the barn right to our door with a big red bow in his hair. When I bought Twinkle he lived on a deer farm a short walk from my parents house. I swear he thought he was a deer! He would rather huddle with them in the bush on a cold day than in his warm shelter. For a little guy he can sure hold his own out in the paddock. He once stole the role of head male in a herd of mares from a much bigger gelding. He is quite the character and would do anything for food.
Oh the stories we all could tell.
Over the past 2 years Twinkle has been away on a free lease where he has been a lead-line pony for a friend's grandchildren. Over the years he has introduced several small kids to riding, participated in a few lead-line classes earning ribbons with his little riders and has even done pony rides at the Bonfield fair. We are excited to have him back with us!
